Things I Wish I'd Known
Michael looks back down the road that was freshman year at Tolman Senior High
BY MICHAEL HASKELL
For many students, the ninth grade is one of the most difficult years of
school. I will soon be entering my junior year of high school, and I am now
quite comfortable in my school, but when I was entering my freshman year, my
school seemed enormous, my teachers appeared to be unfriendly and there were
many people that I did not know.
Getting Good Directions
When I was a freshman, my classes were scattered on all four floors of William
Tolman Senior High School. For a few days, it was very hard for me to find my
classes. Other students, especially seniors, usually are not very helpful. Some
students enjoy tormenting the new freshmen, and they might lead you in the wrong
direction. One important thing that I learned is that if you're completely lost,
a teacher patrolling the corridors will happily show you where you're supposed
to go.
