Winning Characteristics Scholarship - 2007-2008 Recipients

The students listed below are the recipients of the Making It Count “Winning Characteristics” Scholarship for the 2007-2008 school year. Each student viewed a Making College & Career Count presentation at their high school and then wrote an essay demonstrating that they have developed at least three of the seven Winning Characteristics while in high school.

The Winning Characteristics, which are identified and discussed in the presentation, include: communication skills, organizational skills, leadership, logic, effort, group skills and entrepreneurship.

For Sarah Butts’ outstanding demonstration of the Making College & Career Count “Winning Characteristics,” this 2008 grad was awarded a $5,000 “Winning Characteristics” National Scholarship.

These other five students also demonstrated the “Winning Characteristics” and were each awarded a $1,000 “Winning Characteristics” Regional Scholarship.
